Kids Shows

I've always been a bit juvenile when it comes to watching TV. I prefer cartoons over just about anything-- American Idol? Desperate Housewives? No thanks! Give me some Chowder or Billy & Mandy or Arthur any day. Unless maybe Mystery Diagnosis or Planet Earth is on.

Recently however, my tastes have regressed even more. Now that I realize I'll be having a little one to play with and teach I am more and more inclined to watch preschool shows. I can't get enough Mr. Rogers and Backyardigans. As we speak I am watching Elmo and Snuffy play "dinosaur" and singing songs about taking care of pets.

How have your tastes in the movies / TV shows you chose to watch changed over the years?

Honestly, I don't know that my taste in movies or television has changed that much.

I've always liked anything with dry humor and anything educational. Oooh, wait. I used to watch Full House and would be caught dead watching it now.

I try and find the old school shows that I watched growing up on DVD because it's more the type of humore I enjoy. I hate prime time TV--it's filled with too much garbage. I'm with you Camy, bring on the cartoons (but I'm praying that the kids shows are in the far future for me!) :)

I am totally the opposite, I have gone from watching all the silly cartoon to watching prime time TV. It is true that there is a lot of garbage out there, but I have to admit one of my guilty pleasures is "My name is Earl" on NBC, along with other shows that follow (the office and 30 rock).
I guess I do watch Micah's reading DVD's with him, but I don't count those.
